Louvre Hotels are the second-largest hotel operator in France, with an extensive brand portfolio, including Campanile which came into being in 1976. Campanile hotels are widespread in France with a presence in other countries including the UK. The brand standards are a continuously-evolving concept with an emphasis on guest satisfaction, and a look and feel which is arguably more design-led than other budget hotels in the UK.
Louvre Hotels say of the current Campanile concept, that it is: “The home of good moments – a friendly place where guests can live and share convivial moments. At Campanile hotels, every occasion and every place is a chance to create a moment.”
For the refurbishment of Campanile Birmingham, the scope of works consisted of a phased refurbishment of all 130 guest rooms over four floors, and public areas consisting of reception, bar and restaurant. The public areas were extensively remodelled to open up what had previously been compartmentalised reception, bar and restaurant areas into a single usable space, fit, for purpose in the context of today’s customer expectations.

The remodelling project included the entrance lobby being stripped out and refitted with frameless glazed doors which provided sightlines to the impressive new public areas immediately within view on arrival at the hotel car park.
